November 2025 Safe Campus Update

November 20, 2025

First things first

When something urgent happens on or around campus, getting info fast matters. Make sure you’re set up to get SAFE-U text alerts — just head to MyU and go to My Info → Manage SAFE-U Alerts.

If you spend time in Dinkytown (living there, grabbing food, studying, all of it), you can also opt in to Dinkytown Alerts through MyU so you’re always in the loop.

A culture of care

Don’t let sexual misconduct go unnoticed. If you want to better support friends or classmates who’ve experienced sexual misconduct, learning the basics can make a real difference. If you or someone you know has experienced sexual misconduct, connect with the Aurora Center for confidential care.

Safety roundup: The finals countdown

  • Door jam: Keep your U Card handy and check Campus Maps to avoid a lockout when looking for a study spot.
  • Brain break: Take care of your head and heart with self-guided or professional services offered by Boynton Mental Health & Counseling.
  • Pack it up: Don’t give a thief a chance. Keep your stuff with you during your study sesh, even if you’re just walking away for a sec.
  • Sweet snuggles: Pet away worry and stress at the next PAWS event November 24, at 12:00 p.m. in the Health Sciences Education Building.
